Principles of Skin care

Age spots, loss of elasticity, dryness, fine lines, and wrinkles are all signs of skin ageing.

Skin ageing is primarily due to indoor sunlight that enters through our windows during the day.

Sunlight that lands on the skin creates molecules called free radicals, which induce the aging process; this is called skin oxidative stress. Luckily, these free radicals can be scavenged before they damage skin by molecules called antioxidants. The skin’s main antioxidants are vitamin C and vitamin E.

To prevent sunlight from contacting skin, we need a daily effective sunscreen.

To prevent free radicals from damaging skin, we need a daily antioxidant moisturizer.

To scavenge free radicals, antioxidants must penetrate skin, so we need a daily gentle cleanser.

To regenerate new skin, we need a medical grade retinol (vitamin A) formula.

Skin products at retail pharmacies either don’t have the right active ingredients or have suboptimal concentrations; this is to control cost, sell to the masses, and avoid litigation from improper use.

Man or woman, skin ageing begins in your twenties and becomes apparent when you're older; we can’t stop aging, but we can slow it down significantly. Good skin care is therefore preventive and essential in your twenties and your seventies. We partnered with an FDA-approved CGMP-compliant manufacturer right here in the state of California to bring California Concepts®, a line of high-quality skin formulas containing effective concentrations of what your skin really needs.  Our products are cruelty-free, paraben-free, GMO-free, PEG-free, fragrance-free, and of course dermatologist tested. Youthful skin makes you look and feel younger, which makes you adopt a healthier lifestyle so that you can live longer and happier.

Invest and be comfortable in your own skin…at any age!
