Microneedling

As reported in the LA Times and New Beauty Magazine, micro needling is being referred to as one of the most exciting innovations in non-surgical skin rejuvenation. With shorter treatments, shorter recovery, less pain, suitability for all skin tones, and a significantly smaller cost when compared to laser, this treatment is an excellent choice to improve skin texture, especially for large pores, acne scars, and fine lines.

Microneedling, also called Collagen Induction Therapy, is a minimally invasive technique that induces the dermis (deeper layer of the skin) to produce more collagen and elastin, which are essential in creating youthful skin. During the Microneedling procedure, we use a device called Skinpen that makes thousands of needle punctures in the skin called microchannels. These punctures induce the production of new collagen and elastin, two proteins that increase skin thickness and elasticity creating a youthful glowing look and correcting textural imperfections such as large pores, acne scars, and fine lines. We also use PRP (a group or growth factors derived from your own blood) as well as high dose antioxidants for an even more pronounced skin regeneration.

Down time is no more than 2 days and usually less than a day. Results require 2-3 weeks to fully appear, although you may begin to see improvement in less than a week.

Successful skin regeneration with optimal textural improvement requires at least 3 treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart in addition to an effective antiaging skin routine, which we can help you with; learn more about skin care here.
